Privacy, in plain words.

This policy covers Time Zone Pro on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. I’m Shahid, I built it on my own, and I don’t collect anything about you. There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no server of mine that the apps talk to.

What the app saves, and where

Everything below is saved on your device only. I can’t see any of it.

• The cities you added and their order
• Nicknames you gave cities, and the work hours you set for them (Android)
• Your settings: theme, 12 or 24-hour time, haptics and motion preferences, and your home city if you picked one

The app keeps no history of the times you looked at or the meetings you planned.

Your time zone and location

The app reads your device’s time zone setting to show your local time. It never asks for your location and has no location permission. On Apple devices, if you search for a city that isn’t in the built-in list, the name you type is sent to Apple Maps to find it, under Apple’s privacy policy.

Internet

Clocks, time zone rules and meeting planning all work on your device, without a connection. Apart from the city search above, the only network activity is buying or restoring Pro through the App Store or Google Play.

Purchases

Pro is sold through Apple or Google under their own privacy policies (Apple, Google). On Apple devices, purchases are verified through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous purchase identifier and no personal information. The app only receives the confirmation it needs to unlock Pro. I never see your payment details.

Calendar and sharing

When you tap “Add to calendar” on Android, the app opens your calendar app with the meeting filled in. Nothing is saved until you confirm it there, and the app can’t read your calendar. Sharing a time opens your device’s share sheet with plain text that you choose where to send.

Backups

If backup is on in your device settings, your cities and settings can be included in your iCloud, computer or Google account backup, so they come back on a new phone. That’s between you and Apple or Google. I have no access to it.

This website

timezone.shahidshaikh.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The demo and converters run in your browser using your device’s clock. If you use the converter, your choice of cities isn’t sent anywhere. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

Deleting your data

Uninstall the app. That removes everything it saved, and there is nothing to delete on my side. On Android you can also go to Settings → Apps → Time Zone Pro → Storage and tap “Clear storage”.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If the app starts handling data differently, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
